Charles S. Forgang, the Firm’s Founder and Principal Attorney, concentrates in Employment and Corporate & Business Law. He draws on over 25 years of experience as a New York attorney in advising executives, consultants and professionals seeking their own personal counsel, as well as entrepreneurs/business owners, privately-owned and publicly-held companies, professional practices and nonprofit organizations.

Mr. Forgang earned his law degree at Columbia University School of Law, following his graduation from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of the Horace Mann School in New York City.

Prior to founding the Firm, Mr. Forgang was a partner at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., a 250 attorney national law firm, based in New York. Previously, he was associated with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

Mr. Forgang’s Employment Law practice focuses on advising clients regarding their employment and other professional relationships, and the termination of those relationships, and in particular, the negotiation and structuring of their Employment Agreements, Offer Letters, Severance (Termination) Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Executive Compensation and related equity or partnership arrangements, and further with respect to issues of Employment Discrimination, Harassment, Wrongful Termination and other matters.

In his Corporate and Business Law practice, beyond providing general business representation, Mr. Forgang represents and counsels his clients in connection with various business transactions, such as contract negotiations, acquisitions and sales of companies, the structuring of joint ventures, business formation, including the formation of limited liability companies and partnerships, the negotiation of loans and other financial transactions, start-up company matters and the settlement of partner and commercial disputes.

Mr. Forgang represents clients, mostly by referral, in a wide range of industries, including financial services, marketing, technology, manufacturing, and communications, media and entertainment, the legal and health care professions and education.

Admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Mr. Forgang is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, as well as the New York Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.

Mr. Forgang was bestowed a lifetime appointment on the Board of Governors of The Wharton Club of New York, the alumni organization for approximately 30,000 of the 90,000 worldwide graduates of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, having previously served on its Executive Committee as Executive Vice President. Through its Executive Committee, he also led Career Development for the alumni organization for nearly a decade. In addition, Mr. Forgang was both Co-Founder and Co-Chair of of the Wharton Media & Entertainment Network. He is also a Charter Member of The Penn Club of New York.

Mr. Forgang was also honored through his Firm's induction in 2015 as a member of the International Network of Boutique and Independent Law Firms for his practice in the area of Employment Law for Employees.

Mr. Forgang has often served as a guest speaker, addressing topics in Employment Law and Corporate & Business Law, for a number of professional organizations and educational institutions, and has further served on the Boards of Directors of several not-for-profit organizations.
